Syamaprasad Institute Of Education And Training is one of the oldest and most renowned private B.Ed colleges of Kolkata. Prof.Jnanankur Goswami founded this college in the year of 2007. This college was primarily under Calcutta University and now it is affiliated to WBUTTEPA. With fifteen long years of experience, this college has been able to provide our society with competent and efficient teachers. We have high quality faculties who constantly strive to bring out the best from the B.Ed trainee teachers.

Approved by NCTE and affiliated to The West Bengal University of Teachers’ Training, Education Planning and Administration, formerly affiliated to The University of Calcutta, the college has been conducting B. Ed programme since 2007

The library is a member of N-LIST (a project funded by the MHRD through INFLIBNET) which provides electronic access to huge number of e journals and e-books. The library provides open access to all teachers, staff and students through we OPAC system.
